Cambridge exam dates for 2026–2027 next to the Romanian bac and high school admission deadlines, with the last sessions that meet each deadline.
For the 2027 bac, the Cambridge result has to be in before registration on 5–9 April 2027, so a paper-based session by February 2027 is the safe choice. For high school admission, the result has to be in before 19–21 May 2027 (draft).

The bac dates come from Order 5.211/2026. Proba C has moved into the school year, in April, so the certificate has to be ready earlier than in past years.
The high school admission calendar is a draft put out for consultation on 5 October 2026 and may change.
The draft bac order allows certificates to be recognised until 4 June 2027, but the final text was not available when we checked. Confirm with the high school. The equivalence steps are in the guide to bac English equivalence with a Cambridge certificate.
Results appear online about 2–3 weeks after a computer-based exam and 4–6 weeks after a paper-based one. The printed certificate comes later.
The high school admission methodology accepts the original certificate, diploma or exam statement. If the printed certificate has not arrived by the deadline, ask the exam centre which document it can issue.
The calculation below assumes the result must be in before 5 April 2027 and 4–6 weeks for paper-based results. The dates are those Cambridge publishes for fixed-date paper-based exams.

B1 Preliminary for Schools runs on paper all year, on dates each centre chooses. On computer, B1 Preliminary, B2 First and C1 Advanced (including the for Schools versions) run all year, and a session by mid-March 2027 leaves time for the result.
Not every centre in Romania runs every date, and each has its own registration deadline that closes before the exam. Registration for November 2026 sessions may already be closed. Check with the centre.
For bilingual classes, the result has to be in before registration on 19–21 May 2027. A2 Key for Schools and B1 Preliminary for Schools run on paper all year, on the centre's dates, and on computer all year.

Leave room for a second session before the deadline. A C1 Advanced taken in November or December 2026 leaves time for another attempt on 23 January or 17 February 2027, with the result in before bac registration.

The safe option is to have the result before registration for the competence tests on 5–9 April 2027. The draft order allows recognition until 4 June 2027, but confirm with the high school.
Proba C runs on 19–21 April 2027, during the school year. In the second session, proba C runs on 4–5 August 2027.
With 4–6 weeks to results, the last safe dates are 17 February 2027 for C1 Advanced and 30 January 2027 for B2 First for Schools. Sessions in late February and early March are risky.
Under the draft calendar, registration for the language tests is on 19–21 May 2027, and recognition documents go to the middle school by 31 May 2027.
